About Luke
An Otago farrier who turns up, does the job well and gives you a straight answer.
Luke Ure is a farrier based in Otago, New Zealand, working with horse owners across the region.
His approach is simple: do the job well, turn up when he says he will, and give owners honest advice about their horse's feet. Whether it is a pony club mount, a competition horse or a hack that gets ridden on the weekends, every horse gets the same care and attention.
Being a mobile farrier means Luke spends his days on the road, visiting properties, stables and farms around Otago. He can set up a regular cycle for your horses so they never go too long between visits, and he is happy to work alongside your vet on remedial cases.
